Long before Bloomfield Great House because a top restaurant, it was a coffee plantation.
Today, many Jamaican expatriates and tourists looking for great food and a relaxed environment can find it here.
Bloomfield is situated in the hills of one of Mandeville’s upscale neighborhoods. From here, you get spectacular panoramic views of the tropical landscape.
At Bloomfield, you can reserve the private dining room for twelve guests. But most meals are served either on the Georgian-style veranda or in the main dining room.
Mandeville’s climate is always cool, so eating on the veranda will provide a nice break from the heat.
On the menu are favorites like Fillet Mignon, shrimp, fish, chicken, and oxtail.
The Lobster Ravioli is delicious and can be paired with wine from a small wine list.
For a more tempting beverage, try the Red Stripe beer or rum punch.
The restaurant opens at 12:00 PM and is closed on Sundays.
