Cuisine: Jamaican, Caribbean, Very Expensive…
At Mille Fleurs, you’ll have the most exquisite dining experience in Jamaica. Imagine the views here, 600 feet above the sea and overlooking the harbor.
The restaurant, partly surrounded by fruit trees and ackee trees, is at the Mocking Bird Hill Hotel.
Mille Fleurs offers a varied gourmet menu. Although all recipes are created with exotic local produce, the food tastes vastly different from most Jamaican cuisine. The 23-year-old chef, Elmar Rensch, was the former executive chef at The Ritz Carlton in Berlin, Germany.
Rensch’s dishes have inventive names like Coconut and Garlic Soup, Mocking Bird Poached Fish, and Chicken in June-Plum Sauce.
He has also created other interesting masterpieces: Peanut Ice Cream with Caramel Sauce, Yellow Yam Soup, Mango Salsa, and Crispy Ackee with Sweet Pepper Sauce.
Millie Fleurs is also famous for their unique vegetarian meals.
Candlelit dinners lend itself to the romantic atmosphere at Mille Fleurs. After dinner, cocktails and nightcaps can be sipped on the terrace while soft music plays in the background.
