Many people around the world pray to a “God”, whether Yahweh, Allah, Shiva etc the long list goes on and I DON’T want to go into the discussion that is purely whether God exists or not. But looking at this from a non faith atheist point of view of a scientist who does not believe in God wouldn’t it be much better to pray to an alien? Since there are billions of stars in this galaxy alone the chances are there has evolved intelligent life somewhere which may be capable of stellar travel and for all we know “ET” could be orbiting Earth at any given time listening in to us and make take pity/ be kind enough to give us what we want as long as the alien is capable of fufilling them such as hacking into your bank account and putting £10 million there. Surely the chances of our prayers being answered by aliens who most likely exist and may be watching Earth is more if not equally more likely to be sucessful that praying to a God who’s existence alone is based on faith.
