Why not use Windows Home Server? Or even try one of the linux distros?

I think it ultimately comes down to which O/S you actually know/feel comfortable with. If you want to stick with one of 2K/2K3/2K3R2 Server O/S’s then I suggest going with 2K3R2 since each one pretty much was built on top of each other.

From people I know, it’s pretty much even between Ubuntu Server edition and Windows Home Server in terms of preferences.
